Student of the Month
Congratulations to both Megan and Lindsey F. for each being chosen as student of the month! These two sisters have
both worked extremely hard and equally deserve the title.
Megan F. has been studying viola with Nathan for 6 years. She has made incredible progress in the past several months.
Megan has dedicated herself to slow, careful practice. She has also focused has on intonation and has made dramatic improvement in her listening.
Megan has taken her playing to a whole new level with improvements in her left hand technique and musicality. Megan is a freshman and plays
in her school orchestra and the Metropolitan Youth Symphony. She also received a great score of 1 at the District Solo Contest in her first
year competing in the senior division. Great job, Megan!
Lindsey F. has been taking violin lessons with Lori for 6 years. Lindsey
has taken her playing to a different level over the past six months by increasing her practice time and changing her practice habits.
Through slow, detailed practicing, Lindsey dramatically improved her technique, intonation, tone and musicality. She recently received
the highest score possible, a I+, at the District Solo/Ensemble Contest. Lindsey is in the eighth grade and plays with the Metropolitan
Youth Symphony. She always has a positive attitude and is an absolute joy to teach! Great work, Lindsey!

Bring A Friend Week
The week of April 6 - 10th the studio will holding Bring A Friend Week. Students are invited to bring a friend to
their lesson during this week. This is a great opportunity for students to show off all of their hard work and let
their friend see what they do in a lesson.
