Learn the basics of recording in the digital environment in this six week crash course. Students will learn how to record music for a variety of situations including: recording their own songs, producing podcasts, and creating background music for digital movies. Microphones, drum machines, and software instruments will be used to create original music compositions. Apple's Garageband software will be used as the main recording platform in this course. If you are already a Garageband user, enrollment can help take your skills to the next level. Note: It is not necessary to own a computer or Garageband for this course.
